Just a girl who loves to Organize
Hey there, I'm Kelly and I am a Professional Organizer Certified by Organizer.Club and the owner of P.S. Organize It. I started this business for side income for family trips and something relaxing for me to do in my spare time. You’re probably thinking that’s not how I would spend my “me” time. Well thank goodness for the cool weirdos like me. As I started to tell my friends and family about my venture into professional organizing. I was met with… that makes sense, I can totally see you doing this, it’s right up your alley and you may have found your calling. I said to myself, they are right!
I realized pretty young that I like to keep things in order. I would find myself organizing and reorganizing on a whim or in my down time. Always looking for a way to make organized spaces more functional. Do I have OCD? I am asked that question by many, including strangers. In short, I do and there was a time I thought that meant I wasn’t normal. I no longer think that way of course. It may explain why I thrive at organizing. I have embraced this quirky talent of mine.
I can remember a sense of peace whenever I would walk away from a space I had organized. I thought, wouldn’t it be neat if others could have this feeling too? I still get this feeling and now I get it when I do projects for others. My clients have expressed a sense of calmness, hearing the echo in a room and an overall harmonious feeling after everything is complete.
My “Why” has shifted a bit, it’s no longer just about how organizing benefits me, but more about how it benefits those I am helping. I saw this after my first client. I gave them spaces that are working for them and not against them. It made their daily routines smoother and stress free. I take pride in the projects I do, and I love helping others.
